Stormguard Heavy Duty Aluminium Bottom of Door Brush Strip 838mm

This bottom of door strip from Stormguard is an effective heavy-duty brush draught excluder. It provides a simple solution for stopping cold air from entering your room through the small gap beneath the door. It consists of two parts: a brush strip attached to the bottom of your door and a brush seal over the bottom gap.

Suited to sliding, folding, and hinged doors in residential and commercial properties, this draught excluder can be easily cut to the correct size to suit your needs. The soft, long polypropylene brushes are able to sweep over various floor surfaces and it provides excellent performance while also elevating home insulation and lessening your energy bills.

This product comes with a high-quality polypropylene brush in a strong, flexible aluminium carrier. It can be purchased in three finishes - aluminium, gold or white - and can seal gaps of up to 25mm beneath the door (white strip is suitable for up to 25mm). Easy to install with the pre-drilled fixing holes and 20mm plated wood screws, it comes with a 2-year manufacturer guarantee.

To install, place the product against the inside base of the door and mark its width. Cut to the door's width minus 5mm, checking for a screw hole within 50mm of the cut end. If needed, drill a 4mm hole 25mm from the end. To prevent unravelling, crimp the cut end with pliers after removing the brush from the carrier. Close the door and position the brush seal on the inside base, ensuring contact with the floor. Mark and start the fixing holes with a pencil and bradawl, then attach the strip with the provided screws.
