This GPL MK08 SD5J2 top hung window from VELUX includes an internal white painted finish and an external black profile and glazing bar. You can blend both the present and the past as the white painted finish complements modern interiors while the black profile matches conservation buildings and original building characteristics.

The top hung window allows for views that are unobstructed. It can be operated easily with the bottom handle and features a top control bar with integrated ventilation for fresh air despite the window being closed. The centre pivot function is ideal for cleaning the window on the outside. All you have to do is rotate the window by 180° and place it into position with the built-in barrel bolt to keep it steady. Alongside an EDJ recessed flashing that suits tiles that have profiles up to 90mm thick, the roof window is accompanied by an underfelt collar (BFX) and an insulation collar (BDX). The underfelt collar forms a seal between the roof and the window that is watertight, while the insulation collar reduces cold bridges and heat loss. The EDJ flashing supplies a streamlined finish to windows that are 40mm deeper into the structure, resulting in minimal protrusion above the roofline. Brackets can be installed at the blue line level.

With double glazing (70), this window includes helpful attributes. It includes 35dB of sound insulation and a rain noise reduction that quietens any heavy rainfall against the glass. The UV filter keeps fading furnishings to a minimum when left in harmful sun rays, and the toughened glass makes sure that the exterior pane is higher in strength. As a result, it can better withstand external environmental force. The safety lamination prevents the spread of scattered glass if windows find themselves broken and damaged.
